About Our Business
PetroScore Inc. was incorporated in October 2021 in Québec and operates across two complementary but distinct activity areas:
(1) Laboratory Instrumentation Supply and Technical Support
PetroScore supplies research-grade laboratory instrumentation and associated technical support to academic and applied research laboratories. Instrument selection and procurement are conducted independently, based on technical requirements, compliance standards, and institutional procurement processes.
(2) Research Collaboration and Innovation Development
Separately, PetroScore engages with research institutions on collaborative R&D initiatives, particularly in materials science and large-scale energy storage technologies. These collaborations are structured around clearly defined research scopes, governance frameworks, and institution-appropriate intellectual property arrangements.
Where research outcomes demonstrate translational or commercial potential, PetroScore may consider participation in downstream innovation activities, including the formation or support of research-based startups, subject to institutional policies and conflict-of-interest safeguards.
Since its incorporation, PetroScore has generated approximately CAD 3.6 million in cumulative revenue, supporting stable operations and long-term engagement with institutional partners.

Our Mission
To support scientific research by providing independent access to research-grade laboratory instrumentation, while engaging in governed, collaborative R&D that enables the responsible translation of research outcomes into practical applications.
Our Vision
To serve as a Canada-based institutional partner that bridges laboratory research, applied development, and innovation pathways—supporting universities in advancing research impact while respecting academic independence and public-interest mandates.
Scientific Leadership & Governance
PetroScore Inc. is led by Dr. An-Lac Nguyen, PhD, LL.B., a scientist and lawyer with more than 40 years of experience across chemical engineering, biotechnology, and intellectual property. Dr. Nguyen is a former researcher and Acting Director at the Biotechnology Research Institute of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and a member of the Barreau du Québec. His career spans public research institutions, industrial R&D, and the legal protection of scientific innovation. This dual scientific and legal expertise allows PetroScore to operate at the intersection of research execution, technology commercialization, and IP-aware collaboration, which is critical for university-industry partnerships.
